Philippine trade deficit shrinks in May on strong exports

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines’ foreign trade deficit narrowed by 30.4 percent to $3.29 billion in May after exports outperformed imports.

Data from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed exports grew by 15.1 percent to $7.29 billion.
